Thinking about studying design or photography with CATC Design School? If so then you’ll need to get sorted with a laptop and specific design software. A laptop & design software are standard issue "tools of trade" for designers, and as a CATC student, whether you intend studying Graphic Design or Interior Design you will need access to your own personal laptop/computer throughout your studies.

NB. Students studying on campus at CATC from the Trimester 3 - 2011 onward will be required to have their own laptop (with specific design software). CATC has negotiated significant student discounts with our IT supplier including Mac laptop and Adobe software discounts. CATC advise delaying the purchase of a new laptop until after orientation day (the student number you are issued entitles you to discounts). If you already have a decent laptop you will just need to get organised with current version software. Graphic Design students will require Adobe Creative Suite software (available through Powermedia) and Interior Design students will require ArchiCAD software which can be downloaded (once you have a Student Number) from the Graphisoft website.
