CATC Design School The Rocks Open Day 2010 – Event Wrap Up
'relaxed, welcoming, interesting, and heaps of creative peoples...' Emma, Open Day advocate.
The event started at 10:30 and from the very start the feeling of excitement about design and photography could be felt on all floors of the CATC Design School, The Rocks campus. With inspiring student work on display throughout each of the design studios, interactive design demonstrations and current students in charge of music there was an engaging and fun feeling for visitors and staff alike.
Prospective Interior Design students were given a sneak peek into the industry with demonstrations on elevation, perspective and 3D CAD rendering. Graphic Design was showcased via an introduction to Photoshop and imaging techniques, and the photography studio exhibited some exciting demonstrations on capturing splashing liquid in motion, among other things.
CATC is excited to see the next generation of creative’s visit the campus and to see the personality of the school and to get an idea of the many options that await them in the industry. A special thanks to all of our visitors especially the Two-Day Workshop Award Winners Mikeala Ainsworth, Laura Roberts and Angeline Lazo.
If you missed the event, nevermind as CATC have an 'Open Day Every Day' policy. You can contact the school to organise an info session and campus tour on 02 9251 0029.
