CATC Design School Gold Coast Open House & Exhibition Celebrations - Event Wrap Up!

CATC Design School Gold Coast celebrated a special Open House & Exhibition Shindig on May 20 with plenty of muse, booze and design talent to peruse! Besides showcasing its brand new digs, a design space and studio facility students describe as a 'virtual vortex for creativity'.. the event also offered student design showcases exposing emerging talent, we had interactive presentations on school & industry projects and the 150 in attendance revelled in good vibrations thanks to caressing ear candy from live rockabilly band The Sugarshakers - fronted by Emma Wilkins, current Interior Design Advanced Diploma Student. Certainly an extra sensory experience offering lots to absorb!

With a strong history and commitment on the Gold Coast, illustrated through 22 years nurturing talent and promoting local design, its value and integrity, the event set the scene for the next 20 years by also announcing the new 'CATC Design School' namesake and with it new horizons. Celebrating and advocating that CATC Design School students challenge themselves by pushing design boundaries, and contribute positively to local cultures, the community and industry through the craft of design, the activities did well to push the envelope for contagious creativity. In short, the fun & fruitful event celebrated and embraced the unique CATC Gold Coast rhythm and its fabric > a night enjoyed by industry partners, student talent, grads and alumni alike!
