GRAPHIC DESIGN

Our hands-on graphic design courses will give you an appreciation of what makes good design. You'll learn to analyse briefs and visualise concepts, and will explore typography, layout, digital design, packaging design, illustration, advertising communication, branding and individual portfolio preparation.

Students gain extensive skills across a variety of design programs including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.

Graphic Designers work in art departments of advertising and design agencies, art studios, production houses, or in printing, marketing, media and publishing companies. Many grads set up their own businesses. Design is a growing profession with new exciting opportunities arising all the time.

INTERIOR DESIGN

The interior design courses will develop your design awareness and bring out your own individual style. Our industry-approved courses will transform you into an effective and creative communicator, and teach you how to visualise and communicate concepts.

The world of interior design includes colour, design, furniture construction, spatial planning, lighting, business, furnishings and much more.

Interior Designers work on private home renovations, showrooms, commercial fit-outs, art galleries and retail shops. As a graduate, you could work for yourself, in a consultancy, or in an architectural or interior design firm alongside architects, builders and developers.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Our Photoimaging Diploma program, a unique career course which is now VET Fee Help enabled, will equip you with the technical skills and experience to communicate conceptual and creative visions through the medium of photography. During your studies, you'll develop concepts, explore photo lighting, integrate colour, prepare digital images for print & online, and you'll also learn image remediation techniques as well as how to prepare, store and maintain your image assets and creative works.

Out in the real world, you could apply your photoimaging skills and knowledge by working as photographer who specialises in fashion, food, sporting, wedding, landscape, portrait or social photography. You might forge a career in photo journalism or work for a magazine or in advertising. Freelancing across several different interest areas is also possible and definitely an avenue many of our graduates pursue - often whilst still studying!
